We are three software programmers meddling deep in code, work long hours and faces countless deadlines. What kept us going wasn’t just passion for technology but the daily ritual of coffee. Not just any coffee - we craved rich, high-quality beans that made every cup feel like a moment of calm in the chaos. But finding fresh, premium beans for home brewing always felt like a mission. Either the price was sky-high, or the quality didn’t live up to the hype. We found ourselves constantly disappointed, wondering why good coffee had to be such a hassle.

 

So during one fateful lunch in a hawker centre, the idea brewed: what if we solved this the way we solve code problems—by building our own solution? So instead of just complaining, we booked flights. From the list of top 50 roasters in the world, we shortlisted a few to visit and to experience their coffee first hand; in their own backyard. These weren’t big commercial operations, but passionate artisans who lived and breathed coffee. We built real relationships, struck deals, and made it our mission to bring their craft directly to coffee lovers back home. We used our tech chops to streamline the supply chain, lower costs, and make ordering beans as easy as clicking "deploy."
