Mantiqueira de Minas has grown coffee on its mountain slopes for over a century and is among Brazil's most awarded micro-regions, with a Geographical Indication granted in 2011. This lot blends the harvests of three long-term Proud Mary partners, Álvaro Coli, José Wagner and Mariana Junqueira, chosen for a consistent flavour profile. In the cup it is sweet and balanced, with caramelised sugar and soft fruit: a steady, comforting coffee for when you want a warm hug.

The aroma opened with very prominent honey notes, which were quite inviting. As an espresso, the chocolate tones and sweetness came through pretty strongly, leaning more toward the sweet side than bitter, which is exactly what i wanted.
