Octavio has spent three decades working in coffee, starting as a picker who moved wherever the work was. Rather than saving cash, he invested in cattle, and ten cows eventually became the foundation of the payment for the farm he now runs with his wife. Together they have expanded the plantings, focusing on Castillo and Red Bourbon. This is a juicy, sweet washed lot from a family that built their livelihood on coffee.

The aroma opened with very prominent honey notes, which were quite inviting. As an espresso, the chocolate tones and sweetness came through pretty strongly, leaning more toward the sweet side than bitter, which is exactly what i wanted.
