Esayas Beriso built this coffee business from the ground up — starting in a government office in Dimtu, then transitioning full-time to coffee farming in 2009 with his wife Meskerem, who now leads the harvest operations. Their Buku Sayisa plots sit at up to 2,350 masl in the Guji highlands, among the highest-elevation coffee land in Ethiopia.
This washed Ethiopian Landrace lot brings notes of peach rings, raspberry, and white tea.

The aroma opened with very prominent honey notes, which were quite inviting. As an espresso, the chocolate tones and sweetness came through pretty strongly, leaning more toward the sweet side than bitter, which is exactly what i wanted.
