Fincas del Putushio is a joint project between Pepe Jijón, his son José, and Francisco Vintimilla, farming a high-elevation bluff in Ecuador's dry-but-water-rich Equinoctial Andes. Francisco, nicknamed "Red Horse" locally, was the first to plant coffee in the area and has spent years improving roads and water access for the community, while Pepe brings experience from his biodynamic farm Finca Soledad. This lot was hand-assembled from the best of Putushio's second harvest pass of the season.
Grown as Mejorado — genetically a Bourbon crossed with an Ethiopian Landrace — and processed with a two-day in-cherry hold before de-pulping, overnight dry fermentation, washing, and raised-bed drying. Expect orange blossom, mandarin, and cooked pear in the cup.

from 3 reviewsNice experience in the process; the seller is very helpful and responsive as well
The aroma opened with very prominent honey notes, which were quite inviting. As an espresso, the chocolate tones and sweetness came through pretty strongly, leaning more toward the sweet side than bitter, which is exactly what i wanted.
juicy with a stint of vanilla! recommend!
